David B. Hawkes, CPA, J.D., LL.M. (aka David Reed) has had a long and interesting family business  and tax consulting career, first as a tax partner in Boston and Portland, Maine with KPMG, an international accounting firm, and then with Cloudhawk, Inc. a family business consulting firm he co-founded and later sold – and now with Triplehawk, Inc., his own consulting firm.  David also co-founded Net Express, Inc., an early entrant into the internet consulting and connectivity business, a company he later sold.

David is or has been on many business Boards of Directors including chairing the boards of a publicly traded bank, a AAA affiliate and a forest management company; an audit committee chair for a publicly held recreation company; and a board member of a forest product company, a railroad servicing company, a golf tee and golf spike manufacturer and an appliance and energy product distribution company.

In 2000 David Hawkes co-founded the group
which in 2002 acquired the Boston Red Sox
and now proudly wears the 2004 Championship Ring.

Walter Hawkes is online marketing expert, entrepreneur, SEO, writer and teacher. His primary occupation is as CEO of Boston Image Works LLC, a successful search engine optimization and online marketing agency he founded in the Boston Area.

Walter built his first web site in 1996. He has developed web software for companies such as Lycos, ZDnet, the Boston Globe, and Fidelity Capital. He has also started two technology companies where he developed, along with his formal business education, marketing and entrepreneurship expertise. He is also an accomplished portrait photographer.

Walter was sold on the entrepreneurial way after winning $20K in Northeastern University’s first business plan competition in 2000, where he bested the third place team led by one of his professors. That same professor invested in his company and he went on to raise $500K in capital from private investors and managed 12 employees in launching a company called Motion Commerce, the first company to develop a device to allow advertising based on location via GPS. One of his employee’s at that time was Greg Kerr, an engineer who went on to develop the touch ID system for Apple’s iphone.

Walter formerly served in the United States Peace Corps in Tanzania, East Africa with his wife, Melinda. There Walter consulted for the Tanzanian Ministry of Education and various NGOs on IT related projects. He and his wife had the fortunate opportunity to take a group of Tanzanian high school students up Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Walter’s a martial arts enthusiast; he holds a black belt in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He resides in the Boston area with his wife Melinda and three boys, Camden, Paxton, and Beckett. Walter and his wife also live with, and care for, his quadriplegic sister-in-law, Kara.
