April Kinney Corbett is an author, artist, wife and mother of one; who is employed fulltime in managed care. Writing is her passion and it shows; whether non-fiction, fiction, or poetry there is no doubt you will be taken along an amazing journey. It is evident that her goal is to reach out to others. Her first published work entitled ‘It’s My Life & I’ll Smile If I Want To’ is a compilation of raw emotion based upon a multitude of real life issues.
Inspired by her daughter Tiana Hope who was born with a rare brain disorder; which includes developmental delays, seizures, autism, ADHD, OCD, PDD and behavior issues: April says, ‘If she can overcome, so can we all. If I can help just one person feel more connected, feel less alone, and somehow inspired on their journey, then I have accomplished what I set out to do.’ ‘The Adventures of Chopper & T’ is the title of her most recent book, geared towards children and is aimed to bring awareness of rare & invisible disabilities. Her next venture will delve into the world of the special needs spectrum; with a promising fiction novel following close behind.
